A "Special Investigator" recently working on a case for The Hive. He seems to specialize in discovering trouble for himself and his friends.

He is actually the Keeper of the Brown Book, now assigned to Reft. Before becoming a Keeper, he was a native of Earth where he starred in the 80s TV show “Terry Baker PI”. His real name is Paul Creevy. The College gives Taran a bit more freedom than other keepers, since the book he protects is rather insignificant. After wandering through many worlds, Taran decided to take up residence on Reft and become a "special investigator" in Revery. He has taken to writing addendums to the book.

Whenever Rubric would press Taran for information about his past, he became very vague. When asked where he was from, Taran would answer "A little bit of everywhere" and then offer to buy Rubric a drink.
